Cal has logged 20,000+ miles on foot on American roads and hiking trails in the last six years.
MY MISSION
In 2023 I became the first transgender person to run across America and the work is just beginning. Since then, attacks on trans and lgbtq+ people have escalated and 2026 is on track to become the worst year for anti-transgender legislation in history. Education is the first step. Action is the second.
Thousands of anti-trans bills have been introduced across nearly all 50 states in the past three years. We know that the majority of attacks on transgender people center around the issue of sports and access to gender affirming healthcare.
As a trans athlete and educator, I feel uniquely positioned to make transformative connections with people across geographic, political, and ideological lines and lead to lasting change but I can’t do it alone.
To change everything, we need everyone.
